We collect as little as possible, we don't track you across the web, and we never sell anything about you. Here's exactly what happens.

Craftsmith Consulting runs a small website with one contact form. We don't use analytics, advertising pixels, or other tools that track your activity across websites. The personal information we hold is what you type into the contact form and send us on purpose, plus the ordinary technical information that any website receives when your browser makes a request.
When you submit the form on our contact page, we receive:
We don't ask for anything else, and there are no hidden fields collecting information you can't see.
We also receive technical information that is automatically sent when you visit any website, including your IP address, browser type, and basic request information. This is generated by our hosting provider and form processor to deliver and secure the website. We don't use it to build a profile of you.
To respond to your enquiry, to arrange the free consultation call if you asked for one, to provide our services, and to protect the website from spam, fraud, or abuse. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send marketing you didn't ask for, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
Two third parties are involved in running this site. We've listed them honestly, because each one technically receives some data:
We use no Google services on this site at all — no Fonts, no Analytics, no Tag Manager, no ads. The typeface is served from our own domain, so loading a page on this site sends nothing to Google.
Some of these service providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States or other countries where they operate infrastructure. Information processed in another country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
We do not intentionally use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. If a service provider sets a strictly necessary cookie to operate or secure the website or the contact form, it is used only for that purpose. We run no analytics software, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site trackers. We do not use non-essential cookies or tracking technologies that require consent under applicable privacy laws.
We keep contact form submissions while we're communicating with you, and for up to 24 months after our last correspondence, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, or contractual reasons. If you become a client, we keep your contact details as part of our ordinary business records. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just ask — see Your rights below.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small business, including HTTPS encryption in transit, password-protected accounts, and limiting access to the people who need it to reply to you. No method of transmitting or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
We'll normally reply using the email address or phone number you give us. Please don't send sensitive personal or financial information through the contact form or by email unless we've specifically asked for it — that includes passwords, banking or financial account details, and government identification numbers. We don't need any of it to have a first conversation, and we'd rather not receive it.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that's inaccurate, and withdraw your consent to our continued use of it where that applies. You may also ask us to delete information we no longer need to retain, subject to any legal or business record-keeping obligations. Email us and we'll respond — we're not going to make you jump through hoops for something this straightforward.
Craftsmith Consulting is responsible for the personal information in its custody. Questions, requests for access or correction, privacy concerns, or requests to have your information removed can be directed to:
